I haven't taken AP chem yet cause my school doesn't offer it till 12th grade (i'm a junior). The problem is I have taken regular chem and I need to take the SAT 2 chem. I know about 3/4 of the barrons book but i haven't covered stuff like electrochem and organic chem. Is it posisble to self study these cause they look pretty scary. Has anyone been in my situation? I need motivation! Thx (BTW i'm planning to take the May 2005 test. I'm gonna do math 2c, chem, and bio on this date)

There really aren't too many people out there that actually self-study Chemistry, but I'm sure there are some out there. If you think you can comprehend and implement what you know from a study guide book without a teacher, then go for it. Depends on how well you did in your entry-level course in Chemistry.

Don't worry- not much organic chem is on the test. However, I suggest getting a textbook to learn electrochem and whatever other concepts you haven't covered yet. I pretty much self studied the last half of AP Chem last year, and it wasn't that bad (thank you Zumdahl!).

I am just taking ap chem now, i self studied and got a 700. not great but ok
