Yes, I did read oasis's self-study sticky and I found it encouraging. Does anyone have any month-by-month suggestions? I know the "Five Steps to a 5" series does, but they don't have it in Human Geography, which is what I want to do. =(

I’m self-studying HG too so I had to look for a schedule too. I somehow found AP Human Geography Teacher’s Guide, which features sample syllabi from 5 different teachers and they do have schedules. Type the name into Google and I think you’ll be able to find the file too.

My Barron’s review book for AP World History has a few different study plans: 7-day, 4-week, and school-year (9 months). Perhaps the AP Human Geo. book by Barron’s (if there is one) does too.

I’m going to self-study Human Geography too, so I was curious if previous takers of the AP exam have any advice on the schedule? There are eight chapters, I think, so should I break it up evenly by chapter? Or do all the chapters on a shorter schedule and save the last month before the test for complete review?

Here’s my recommended 5-month plan for an 8-chapter review book:

Month 1 - Study and review chapters one and two.
Month 2 - Study and review chapters three and four.
Month 3 - Study and review chapters five and six.
Month 4 - Study and review chapters seven and eight.
Month 5 - Briefly skim/review all chapters. Take the practice exams provided with your book (if there are any); assess your weaknesses and strengthen them by reviewing critical areas.

This is a general timeline I’d recommend. I haven’t taken the AP Human Geography course, let alone taken the exam, but I believe this schedule is suitable for any AP course review book.
