Self Study Human Geo or Gov/Politics?! HELP

I'm going to try to self-study an AP this year for additional credits, I was wondering which course between Human Geo and Government/Politics would be the easiest to self study, and some tips for each one?

Thanks!

Not many colleges give credit for Human Geo so that would automatically leave you with gov/politics.

I would recommend AP US Gov, buy the crash course book and go over past FRQ’s and it’s an easy 3/4… 5 if you know/remember everything/small details lucky with FRQ’s

Would Human Geo be an easier self study though? I’m trying to do one or the other mostly to get AP Scholar w/ Distinction before Senior year.

If you know your stuff for Human Geo 30% do get 1’s.

I really think AP US Gov is an extremely easy self study and its material you should know/learn anyway…

Both isn’t out of the question, it will only take you 2 weeks to study for AP US Gov if you commit to it much of the material is common knowledge anyway.

I would try and do both, and I would have done so (self study both), but both were required classes for my school (a geography and gov’t credit to graduate). Anyways, if you choose one, it will depend on the type of person you are. If you are a logic type person who likes to apply what you learn at the beginning of the year to what you learn later like you would in a math class or econ, then go with Human. If you are more of a fact person, then go with government. Personally, I want to work with the government doing analytical work similar to what you learn in human, but on a different level, so they were both easy for me. Plus my family is from and lives, breathes, and dies DC etc, so I didn’t even have to pay attention in government. It was so cute that my teacher thought I was since I was able to multitask and would know where in the book we were and could answer her questions, even though I was usually doing homework for another class. lol.- fyi this is typical behavior for people taking 8 AP classes because since they’re not blowoff classes, you pick your easy ones and designate those as blowoff. lol

I assume you’re talking about US Government and Politics.

For me, Human Geography was a lot easier, but Government is easy as well.

Like cfl927 said, it all depends on what you feel you’re more comfortable with (although I don’t really agree with his logic/math/facts comparison thing).

Good luck :).
