So I told my GC that I plan to self-study four APs and I would like the school to register me for the exam, as well as pay the fees (they will be paying the exam fee for the APs they do offer) and he said he doesn't know how to register people for the AP exams that the school doesn't have an AP class for, then he just blew me off. I read on collegeboard that home-school students can sign up for APs at a nearby school that offers AP, will I have to do that? Is there a way for my GC to register me for the AP exam even though the school doesn't offer the AP class?

What you need to do is find out who your school’s AP coordinator is, and talk to them. Your GC may not in fact be able to sign you up for self-study APs, but the coordinator will definitely be able to.

Talk to the coordinator first. If things don’t work out, you are allowed to contact other schools to see if they will let you take the test at their school.
