Self Study Qs

Right now I'm in AP Calc AB. I consider myself a math person but last year in Precalc I had a horrid teacher and got a B. Many others did poorly as well. I took AB to build a stronger foundation and because the teacher is much better. Would it be possible for me to self study for BC and Stat and do well considering there are only 3 months left? If it matters I have over 100% in calc and I got 3rd place at my school in the AMC 12 last year. Btw, I have no clue what stat is like.

Check out what the statistics topics are, and see if you know them

there are lots of threads on here about studying for BC from an AB class, so just search around.

BC sure, but stats i don't know

Yeah I dont think I'll do that Stat cause I have 3 other AP tests besides Calc. So for self studying BC calc which AP book would be best? I currently have the 5 steps for a 5 AB book.

Anybody got advice for which BC book?

I just bought the PR AB and BC book, it looks good, is really big, and wasn't too pricey.

Barrons....as far as textbook goes....I have Tom Apostol's textbook for calc which is one of the best...its an e-book also so if you want it....just PM me and ill send it over.....i heard Arco's for Calc is one of the best also...you should order the BC multiple choice off collegeboard or trade from someone (Look in the The Ultimate AP Trade thread)

BC will not benefit you much more than AB. Just get a 5 on AB instead of worrying about BC.

or you could study the extra stuff on BC and get both a BC and an AB score

^

I was going to say that too.
What you need to know for BC, you have already learned in AB. So, if you take the BC test, and do not-so-hot on the BC stuff, but ace the AB, then you can use your AB subscore.
