Self Study SAT US History?

Hey

Do you guys think I can self-study for SAT US History this summer, to take it in one of the fall SAT dates and get a decent score?

If so, what resources do you recommend?

If not, do you think I will be able to manage self-studying SAT Euro History or World History?

Thanks a bunch xD

I essentially had to self-study US History (my class was awful). It is certainly possible if you put in enough time. Since you are doing a long period of study time, I would suggest AMSCO. It is very thorough and provides virtually every piece of information that could be tested (it is pretty dense/boring though). Spark Notes is also great. If you want a quick overview, Crash Course is the way to go. I used AMSCO and Spark Notes and got a 740 with a few weeks of studying so you can definitely do well over the whole summer.

If you want to self study, use AMSCO as a Bible. I can’t really comment how easy it’s going to be with just AMSCO, because I had a lot of extra exposure to US History in my AP class, which helped a lot. I’m going to take the test this Saturday, so I’ll let you know how it goes.
