Okay, so I am settled that I am going to self study these two courses along with Art History, Calculus BC, Microeconomics, and English Literature. Any advice? I'm going to receive help from the AP teachers that teach these subjects in my school also.

Your self studying 6 AP classes dont you think that is overkill?

I’m only self-studying for Psychology and U.S. Gov. The other 4 I’ll take as AP classes at my school :)

mm well psych is a good self study but im not sure about US gov. you should be fine though with textbooks and review books. Have you taken any AP exams in the past and if so how’d you do?

US Gov is a really easy self study

you need:

Crash course for AP US GOV (will get you at least 50 MC right)
FRQ from past 10 years (go over those and you’ll be set) One FRQ from this year was almost entirely graph reading.

for Psychology it’s just one big vocab test.

FRQ’s are

Here’s word… blah blah blah what’s it mean in relation to this vocab word…

MC’s are always easy (trevor remarked that psych always has high MC low FRQ much like gov)

@goldmind I haven’t self-studied any AP’s before if that’s what you mean, but I have taken World History and Biology in my sophomore year with a 5 and a 3, respectively (unhappy about the 3 in Bio). I took 4 AP’s this year (APUSH, English Language & Composition, Calculus AB, and Chemistry) and am feeling optimistic about my scores.

Thanks for the advice guys :)

I self-studied those 2 AP’s this year as well! Both are manageable, an dI thought they were pretty easy. I just went through the review books and made flash cards for all the words bolded in the the review books.

For review books, I used Barron’s for Psych and REA Crash Course for Gov. Good luck!

You should be set then if your a good test taker and you managed 4 AP’s this year. Best of luck :D

I actually self-studied both of these exams this past year! Like audiblewhispers, I used Barrons for Psych and REA Crash Course for US Gov. I feel like I would have done better if I studied more than I did (only a day or two for each), but I’m predicting 4’s for both. Let’s hope that is the case.

But, yes, these are easy to self-study. Just make sure you actually study, and you will be fine.

@Spencer did you study only a day or two in total the night before the exam, or per week? :O
