Self Study Suggestions Please

I'm thinking about self studying for some AP tests for next year, can people give me their input on Stats, Bio, Physics B, and Art History?

How easy is it to self study each of those?

Thanks.

Bio is considered a "real" course and only self-study if you already have a solid basis.

Stats is pretty difficult without a teacher. I tried it, but changed. But I don't think Physics is easy.

Honestly, I think that all 4 are hard to self study.

umm I have no idea about Physics B, but Physics C will kill you if you try to self-study it. therefore I imagine Physics B will not be a walk in the park either.

I basically self-studied Bio over the year because my teacher was terrible, but it took the fact that she gave routine tests that kept me going, because otherwise I would've quit. It's so much work to do it by yourself.

I don't know about stat and art history.

Bio isn't too bad. But I do not suggest self-studying Physics B...it's hard enough WITH a class. Art History can be done, but you'll have to work at it. Stats I think should be okay, but I suggest you take a class for it if one's available.

I made a site for people who are studying and self-studying APs. Check out the sites and see which one you think is easiest.

AP Stats would be tough to self study, but it is doable. If you're going to study for this class, make sure you know all of the types of tests in and out including different hypothesis tests, formulas for tests and intervals, and when to use which. Pretty much if you can differentiate between all of the tests, the other parts to study aren't that bad.

Stats sounds kind of doable, especially if I try to start over the summer. How skilled do you have to be at math to do stats? I'm going to be taking Calc AB next year.

As for Bio, I've taken the regular biology class at school and pretty much breezed through it, but I understand that there is lots of material in AP Bio that I will have never seen.

My physics basis is that I took physics honors this year, and if I self study for Physics B, my teacher might be able to help me since he's teaching that next year.

I thought Art history looked kind of interesting (i took architecture before) and I usually do pretty well on social studies tests. (I'm awaiting grades for apush, psych, and human geo this summer)

Thanks for all the input, keep it coming!
