<p>I'm self-studying the following APs and I need to know which (review/text)book I will need: </p>

<p>AP Calculus C < I'm taking AB in school
AP Programming AB < I already took C++ (does that help?)
AP Comparative Gvt
AP Human Geography</p>

<p>Programming I hear is all in Java. Having been studying C++ myself, I was very disappointed to learn that. Though, I hear that the barrons book can prepare you nicely.</p>

<p>For AP Calculus BC, use the James Stewart book (3rd or 5th edition)</p>

This is the textbook to use for the exam. If you read it from page 1 to page last. You will pwn the exam. Simple as that! Good luck!</p>

<p>My son self studied for Comp Sci AB last year, and used the text book and prep book from <a href="http://www.skylit.com/%5B/url%5D"&gt;http://www.skylit.com/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p>

<p>The year before, he self studied for Calc BC, and used Apostol (which I dont recommend unless you are very good at math). He used the skylit prep book for Calc BC - just to make sure that Apostol had covered everything he would see on the test.</p>

<p>I have Comp. Pol. Domestic Responses to Global Challenges. But it's 4th edition, instead of 5th. I wonder if it would work. Does anyone know what countries are on the AP Comp. Gov't exam.</p>

in Java can help a beginner with no knowledge of java help a student learn and get a 5 at the ap computer science exam? Does anybody know if Be Prepared for the AP Calculus Exam can help a beginner with no knowledge of calculus learn and get a 5 at the ap calculus AB and BC exams?</p>

<p>^^^ I don;t know, but This book will teach you AP Calculus ABC + CalcIII. It teaches you more than you need to, but it's an AMAZING book. The examples are very helpful, but it costs a lot. Calculus With Analytic Geometry: Ron Larson,Robert P. Hostetler,Bruce H. Edwards</p>
