Self-study v. online school

I'm using a free online school through my regular school to take a couple of courses, but I'm beginning to wonder whether it's worth the extra stress or if I can just take the tests without some of the courses...
(I have two years left, and I'm not sure how many I should take with my courseload pretty bad as it is for junior year...):

Biology (fee for online; there is an adv. bio at school, but i don't feel like taking 2 science classes in school for 1 year)
Comparative Gov (fee for online; AP US Gov this year)
Euro History (free online; APUSH this year, APWH next year)
Human Geo (in-school full year or fee for online)
Microecon (free online; AP Macro (1 sem) next year)
Spanish (Lang free online; which one to take; can i take the exam after 3/4 years of regular classes?)

What do you think? Could you help me prioritize which courses I should try for? Advice for a newbie self-studyer? (I heard of this idea all of about 15 minutes ago when I was searching for AP stuff and stumbled across this site.) Techncially, I could do Comp. Gov. this year..

(Sorry for reposting this. I wanted to edit a couple of things, but it wouldn't let me back into my post on the big thread for some reason.)

What free online school are you using? It's not this one is it?

Internet Archive: Advanced Placement (AP) Courses from the Monterey Institute for Technology and Education

EDIT: No, it seems you have listed courses that the Monterey Institute does not offer. FLVS or NCVPS?

aventa, through wisconsin virtual school.
