Self Studying Advice Needed

I am currently taking AP Biology and will be taking that as well as Pre-Cal, Honors Physics, and English III Honors in the spring. I was considering self studying Psych, Earth/Enviromental and AP Government (not sure which one). This would be my first time self studying for an AP test so I am sort of nervous, would this be too much to take on? Also, which AP Gov would be best if I took Honors Civics last year. Thanks.

Well, I don’t know what your Honors Civics class consisted of, so it’s hard to comment on that, but I think any of those three are relatively easy to take. Just go to this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ap-tests-preparation/201793-consolidated-book-suggestions-ap.html</a> and find the study book for any particular subject. If you want a 5, I’d suggest studying at least a month in advance if not more. Some people can study the night before and get a 5, but that depends on people. I did Psych last year and it was really interesting, and not too stressful. So judging by your background, I recommend either Psych or Am.Gov.

I was wondering if taking all 4 tests (including Bio) in may would be too much (i am a motivated student). Also, since I took Civics should I take US Gov or Comp. Gov?

anyone else? help still needed

^Dude, im self studying Psych, chem, and environ sci, along with taking physics, calc, and bio at school. If i can do that, then you can do this. Good luck!

Thanks for the input. I just have one more question. Which AP government is the easiet (in terms of self stuying for), Comparative or US. I have some knowledge in Civics if that makes much of a difference.

I think you would be more familiar with US Govt but if you find Comp. more interesting, it might be easier.

I’m taking both and it seems that Comp. is more interesting. Too bad I can’t get the Ethel Woods book!

instead of Ethel Woods would 5 steps to a 5 be good for self studying U.S Gov
