Self-Studying AP Bio/SAT II Bio Question

I’m did pretty decently at Biology and when I looked at some of the sample SAT II questions I found that I could answer a lot of them just by using the basic knowledge that I already learned. Since I need an SAT II subject test and I have no room in my schedule to take AP Bio, I decided I want to self-study AP Bio.

So, how well do the SAT II Biology and AP Biology exams overlap? Would studying one essentially count as studying for the other, or would I need to consider each one separately.

Would I need to do the labs to have a good understanding of the material?

What books are recommended, atm I only have Cliffsnotes.

this is a very good question, does anyone have insight?

The Bio SAT II focuses more on general concepts and experimentation based on concepts. It may 4-5 times get specific.

AP Bio (from what I hear. I'm taking it this year) is MORE specific and factual.</p>

Sat II: Just get a lot of workbooks and if you had experiments in class you should be fine.. you need to use your conceptual common sense of the Bio you learned for the experiments.
Ap Bio: Cliff notes.

Studying for Bio SAT II is NOT enough for the AP Bio.. vice versa also is true.
