Hi, so I will be a sophomore in the fall, and I was considering self-studying AP English Language over the course of the year. I'm aiming to get the National AP Scholar award by the end of my junior year ( I am taking AP Euro this year and was planning on self-studying Calc BC too. As a junior I am taking Stats, Bio, and US History and self studying Physics and Latin). I know, I'm insane, I'm overloading myself. :) Anyway, is it worth self-studying AP English Language just to get the award? Is it as easy as everyone claims it is? I've been in accelerated English and I guess that I'm pretty decent at writing (I have A's in English). So should I continue ahead with this plan or is this really stupid? If I spend a lot of time studying between now and May, would I be able to pull a 5 off easily? If so, what resources do you suggest? Thanks!

AP lang/lit are very hard classes, but are the easiest tests to self study for. I would suggest taking the lit test over the lang test though if self studying, It is mainly reading compression/ ability to write. If you have any questions, please feel free to pm me

i actually disagree with you ehakbarain. It seems like alanier has a lot on his plate already, so i think Lang would be the better option. Just as long as you regularly converse with a teacher about your essays, of course
