I was thinking about self studying AP Euro and AP Art History during my junior year. I would also be taking APUSH, AP Bio, AP Lit and AP Spanish Lit, not self study. Would this be doable? I took AP World sophomore year so I would have a good background for AP Euro. And I would study with a textbook, not just a review book.

I’m a bit awful at history but I took AP euro and thought it wasn’t too bad. You should be fine self-studying euro if you like history.
I did NOT take AP art hist. but from what I saw from my friends it seems like a brutal class. The textbook they used was about 2 to 3 times the thickness of my calc book. But then again it was a lot of pictures. Self study if you really like it.
If during the year you can’t self-study then there’s really no penalty for stopping unless you already paid for the exam (or if you mean “self-study” in school as a period of its own).

Otherwise, your schedule doesn’t look too bad. Just know that you’ll be doing A LOT of memorization (euro, art hist., us hist., bio). So if you’re better at memorizing rather than problem-solving then this is a good schedule for you and is very doable.

I took Art History last year, and yes, it was BRUTAL. One of the most fun classes I’ve taken, but it totally kicked my butt. I would definitely recommend you take it in a class setting with a teacher who knows what they’re talking about. It would be a good crossover with AP Euro, but I think it would be too much. Of course, your mileage may vary, but please be really careful when making your final decision.

I just made a video on how to pass AP Art History (and about the material)!

The class is very content heavy. Some dedication and commitment is needed. However, I have friends that studied less than I did and got the same score. I got a 4, by the way.

I LOVED AP EURO. It was an amazing class and there’s definitely a bit of crossover with APAH. At my school, the principal taught Euro and he had the art history teacher come in before the test to help us review the art and the movements. But I wouldn’t necessarily self-study. Writing essays that match the criteria for Euro and (I imagine, though I don’t know) Art History is difficult if you don’t have a teacher to grade you.
