AP World History is my first AP (I'm a sophomore) but I am also contemplating self-studying AP European History. Do you think it would be manageable to score a 4 or 5 on the AP Euro test using only knowledge from AP World and an AP Euro study guide? Or is it too difficult to attempt without a class?

It will be a challenge. Much depends upon how dedicated you are. The overlap is only about 1/4 to 1/3. The best AP European History textbook is A History of Western Society by McKay. The best AP European History review book is AP European History Crash Course. Note that the essays for the two exams are not identical. The Crash Course has very good annotated essays.

^AP Art History will definitely help you with the AP European History exam. AP Euro does have some multiple-choice questions devoted to art masterpieces. Even more important, they often have an essay on an art history topic. I really like AP Art History (REA) it has an excellent narrative and does a very good job of describing and illustrating key styles of art.
