I am a current junior and I am self studying and taking 4 AP exams in May. When I apply to colleges in the fall, do I have to send in an official score report from CB of all the AP marks or just self-report them on the college applications? Thanks!

Thanks

bummmmmmp!

When you apply to colleges you just put down what APs you have taken/are taking. But after you get accepted the college will ask you to send in your scores and transcripts.

You can self report your scores on college applications, such as the common app.

However, you should send an official AP score report after you are accepted to a university.

Or you might mention it in an essay or interview.

So would it be okay for instance to only put down 3 of the 5 self studied APs on the common app when I apply if I didn't do well on the other two?

blue-sky:) yes. You can put down selected APs and skip the
ones you do not want to report. Your school may have a policy of automatically including AP scores on the transcript. Check with your
GC that they do not do so (for self studied courses i.e.)
