Hi,
I’m a current sophomore and was thinking about the National AP Scholar Award and in order to do that I realized I need to take a couple this year so I don’t have a ridiculous amount to do next year.
So I was wondering if self studying AP Human Geography and Psychology is doable without any prior knowledge? Also, should I start studying now? Or just a month before the exam or something?
And I’ve heard that the Barron’s books are the best and I was wondering about any other tips to get at least a 4 on these exams?
Thank You So Much!!!
Bump. I have the same exact question. I have heard barrons for Psych is quality, but that APHUG barrons is less decent, and it will not guarantee a 5. This is just the word on my street though. Does anyone have any real experience with self studying these courses? I understand Psych in commonly self-studied, but APHUG’ers seems to be less common…
BUMP!!! Anyone know anything?
BUMP. I have the same questions you do. I am signed up to take both of those exams this year (self-studying) as well as AP World History (took the class at school). I am using PR for pysch. The book lays out the material in a very organized fashion, and I have been able to retain much of the information. I will do hardcore review this weekend. As for APHG, I haven’t started yet, although I will be using both 5 Steps to a 5 and Crash Course. We’ll see where that gets me. Good luck to you!!
Anyone still lurking in this thread? Kinda wanna talk to people about their last minute preparations for AP Psych. I’m planning to take 2-3 practice tests tomorrow (I only started studying last week so…). What are you guys/girls doing? You know there are flash cards for all of the barron’s chapters on quizlet?
