Self-Studying AP Microeconomics. Tips?

Hi!
I am going to self-study AP Microeconomics next year. My school only offers AP Macroeconomics, but I want to take both exams, because I have a good grasp of economics currently. Does anyone have any tips for me on review books to buy, how to study for the exam, what should I be doing? Anyone who self-studied it this year could of great assistance. Also, I want to hear from people who took the class and the best review books to buy? Thank you!

First read 5 steps to a 5. Then, review with PR (which is more condensed but harder). Around April do some practice tests, and maybe review with the Microeconomics course in Coursera. I got a 5. I started in March.

@Argentina2017 Thank you for the tips! I will order the books!! I really want to get a five, and I feel like taking AP Macro will help me get the key concepts.

I used the Micro and Macro 5 Step to a 5 book 2008-2009 edition, which is online. I just printed it. Also, remember to do a LOT of FRQs, they are always the same. There is a table with the topics that were tested each year, Google it.

Remember that Micro is much harder than Macro, at least that is what I thought. I was sure i was going to get a 5 in Macro, but I was expecting a 4 in Micro. My 5 must have been very very low.

I was successful in self studying AP Micro last year. I felt that the Barron’s book is very detailed and useful, while the 5 steps to a 5 covered the big picture on the topic, but was still very useful. Also i would recommend watching Mr. Clifford’s Econ videos on YouTube, they are VERY GOOD. ACDCEcon is the channel name I believe. Search up mr clifford
