Is it a good idea? I've heard that AP Psychology is one of the easiest AP tests. This year I self-studied AP World History, and I feel like I can take more tests this way. I'm going into 11th grade, and unfortunately I'm only able to take 2 AP classes in school- AP English Language and AP US History.
Is it possible to get a 4 or 5 on AP Psychology and AP Human Geography by just using prep books? Would Barron's be good for both?
Thank you!

For AP human i read very little in the text book. And my teacher didnt teach at all. I read Barrons and Princeton Review and got a 5 so you can def do that.

I’m going to be self studying for AP Psych too from what I’ve read on here, its pretty easy if you study, and Barrons is apparently the best book for self studying, so thats what I’m going for :)

Agree with Bocho6, get Barron’s and Princeton Review and you’ll probably at least get a four or higher if you actually learn it. Do not just get one though

If you self-studied WH and did well (well enough to please yourself), then you can easily study psychology. The latter is much easier to self-study than WH.

Psychology is mainly pure vocabulary memorization.

I self studied Human Geography this year and got a 5. I suggest you get both Barron’s and Princeton Review.

What about the REA prep books? I haven’t tried those yet. I’ll probably just get it from the library then.
Thanks guys.

I self studied both of them this year with with the result being two 5’s. I had no background knowledge of psychology and a strong background understanding of geography. All I did was read through the Barron’s AP Psych book twice (maybe three times?) and go through the Barron’s flash study cards once. Any words I was unfamiliar with I just went back and read a couple of times to get it lodged into my brain. Both tests are mostly memorization of words, people, and theories. By far the easiest tests you will ever take.

Psychology: Barron’s, although I heard Crash Course is not too bad either.
Human Geography: Barron’s and Princeton Review though it’s possible to get just Princeton Review alone.
