Self Studying AP Psychology?

From what I've read so far Psychology seems like one of the easiest APs. Is it possible to self-study it? Is it more memorization or understanding? I do not want to waste a class next year on it because at my school it is a joke of a class.

Yes, you can self-study it. There have been a lot of posters who have done so and gotten a 5.
