Is it a good idea? I've finished Algebra 2 during 8th grade, and I'm trying to challenge myself. I'm also doing AP Psychology and Human Geography this year. I'm sure I'll handle it. Plus since it's a self-studied subject it won't affect my GPA. What do you think?

What else are you doing this year? Sports? Clubs? job?

You are probably gifted in math if you took algebra 2 in eighth grade but that will only help you a little bit in stat. Stat is more of a mathematical communications course. The most complex operations you will do will be in probability where you have to use formulas and do basic multiplication and division. The main aspect of stat is using data and charts and research combined with statistical methods in order to draw conclusions and be able to effectively communicate those conclusions. Much more word problems and writing then you’ve probably ever seen in a math class.

AP human geography is easy but you will have to elevate your writing ability quickly.

AP psych is very easy if you just keep up and stay on schedule. The exam itself is easy.

The thing is that you have to stay on track because if you don’t read then it doesn’t matter how smart you are because you will still fail the exam.

IT’s doable depending on the answer to the first question

You chose all three easy APs, but don’t underestimate them. I cannot say whether you should or shouldn’t, without knowing you.

However, remember as easy as each course is, they are all technically introductory college courses. I know psychology and statistics will have quite a bit of memorization that you cannot avoid. If I were you, I would choose two to self study for Freshman year.
