Self studying AP US Gov?

Which prep book(s) should I use to study AP US Government and Politics on my own? Will it be enough to study with them without getting a textbook? I’m taking APUSH this year, so I’m guessing it will help me with Gov too.
Thank you in advance!</p>

use REA’s Crash Course for both</p>

here’s the US Gov one.
[Amazon.com:</a> AP U.S. Government and Politics Crash Course (REA) (Test Preps) (9780738608099): Larry S. Krieger: Books](<a href=“http://www.amazon.com/Government-Politics-Crash-Course-Preps/dp/0738608092/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1283733134&sr=1-3-fkmr0]Amazon.com:”>http://www.amazon.com/Government-Politics-Crash-Course-Preps/dp/0738608092/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1283733134&sr=1-3-fkmr0)</p>

the exam is a joke if you’ve paid any attention to politics since you were a kid
most of the kids in my class didn’t know anything about american politics which is hella sad since we were all born and raised American. </p>

you don’t need a class, you don’t even need a textbook. the REA book is more than enough</p>

just make sure you can write the FRQs</p>

Barron’s AP Gov book is the best - I used it and got a 5
Multiple choice questions are very similar to ones on the test and FRQ’s are easy since you can bullet your answers instead of writing essays</p>
