Dear College Confidential Community,
I am a freshman in High School, and I know I probably shouldn't be asking this question for another year at least, but here it goes. What must you do to self-study an AP class at home? What are the precedings you must take to get credit for taking the class and finally, are there any techniques to self study a class? Thank you very much.

To self-study get a book for the subject, a prep book, read, and do practice problems if applicable. Study however you feel necessary so by AP test time you are ready.

You probably won’t get high school credit for self-studying, but talk to your schools ap coordinator about taking the test. Colleges will be the ones to award credit if you score their minimum requirement.

Find something to study like MIT OCW, a prep book, or your friends that take the class. Then, study it. Then sign up for the test at your school. If your school does not host the test you could probably work something out with another local school.
