Self-studying APUSH

Hi! I recently moved to Canada and my school doesn’t offer APUSH or any U.S. History classes for that matter. I want to self-study APUSH, but I’m not sure what resources I need. I do have the 2012 edition of United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination from AMSCO. But is that enough to get a good score on the AP test? Thanks!

Sorry, 2010 edition.

The AMSCO book is basically a textbook. If you study enough you should get a good score using the AMSCO book.

There is no difference between the 2010 edition or earlier editions really except for some info about Obama. Unless you don’t keep up with the current news for like the last 5 years, it doesn’t matter.

All APUSH past students (me included) who have used AMSCO will swear by it. Memorizing like the entire thing also gets you 800 SAT2.

This site ([Home - AP US History Exam Review](http://www.apexamreview.com)) has the best diagnostic/simulation exams I’ve found. You basically take the diagnostic test and it tells you exactly what exam topics you know. The simulation exams are basically the same thing as the real college board APUSH exam and they get graded instantly. It even gives you an estimated AP score so you know where you’ll rank before you take the real thing.

Thank you all for your advice!

Glad to help, good luck this year!
