Does anyone have any tips for self-studying BC calculus, before the next AP testing if you still haven’t taken Pre-calculus?
I’m going into Pre-calculus next year and want to self-study it over the summer, then during the school year I want to self-study AP calculus AB with BC, then take the BC exam in May. (I’m an ambitious student who loves math, I don’t mind if I have to study more than 100 hrs)
Is there a specific reason for you not taking it at your school or waiting until you can? Calculus AB/BC is strongly discouraged from self-studying. Also, there is a reason why pre-calc is taken before calculus (PRE calculus…). AP Calculus is a college course and you should finish 4 years of high school math before taking a college-level math course. Unless you are math prodigy I would highly recommend you not go this route.
