Self studying for 2 AP's as a junior??

This year i was thinking about self studying microeconomics and environmental science. microecon because i took macro and there is an overlap, and environmental because i am taking honors biology this year, and i hear there is an overlap with those two. Is there actually an overlap with biology and environmental science? Do you think that it will be doable for me to self study both micro and environmental, and score a 5 on both? (i am only interested in doing this if i can score 5's.) This year my ap courseload in school is statistics, psychology, and apush.

The reason i want to take both of these ap exams is becuase i feel like my grades were not the best they could be during sophomore and freshman year, and i feel like i could somehow make up for it on college applications by showing determination through self studying and scoring 5's on 5 ap tests for junior year.

Are there any other possible ap tests that i could take that would be easier than these? And also, what books do you recommend for each test? Help would be much appreciated!

AP scores have little to no bearing on admissions. Self studying especially doesn’t get you brownie points or a boost on your application, in fact, many top colleges discourage it with a few exceptions (such as school not offering the class, but you still want to take it). Getting 5s your junior year will not make up for your previous grades.

If you are truly interested in those topics, and your school does not offer them, you should go self-study them. If you just want the tests to get scores, it’s not worth it.
