I've seen a few people on this website who self study for an ap test because of schedual problems and whatnot. I want to do this for ap psych because I'm really interested in it and my school doesn't offer it. Would colleges even look at this if I did it? I don't want to waste my time on something that wouldn't help in the admissions process when I could be working on ec's and improving my gpa. Thanks for any advice!

It probably won’t help a lot in the admissions process, except to show you’re self-motivated. However, it’d be great to have some psych credit and to be able to sit out of the “Intro to Psych” classes. At many places it is near-impossible to get into the Intro to Psych class you want.
