Self studying for AP Tests

Hi all :)

I would like input from people who have self studied for ap tests. I am planning to self study for an ap test (maybe Psychology or Environmental Science?).

What ap's have you self studied for?
How did you do on the exam?
What books did you use and how were they?
How difficult was it?

Thanks

self studed AP Chem
got a 5
Zumdahl's Chemistry (some really oldass 1980s version or something like that from the University library) + ARCO
somewhat difficult, but i liked the subject

all the ap history's are easy...just takes dedication and time

but u gotta go on collegeboard.com and buy one of their recommended textbooks

Self study ap chem? wow, congrats wrathofgod64 on your achievement!

anyone else?

i'll be self-ing AP Psy, Physics, and perhaps Macroecon

I'm self-studying Bio (with Cliffs and Campbell's) right now, and I'll possibly study Environmental Science (with Awesome Guides) if I have time.

I self studied for Bio, English Language, and Comparative Government.

5s on all.

I used Cliffs for Bio, old tests and a term list for English, and whatever book comes up when you look for a comparative gov book on amazon for Gov (not from a test prep company, it's some independent guy). Cliffs is the best out there for Bio, I think practicing from old tests was the best thing I could do for English, and I liked the gov book.

They were all pretty easy. I didn't put as much time as I should've into Bio and Gov (different years, but I procrastinated pretty badly both times. I was still trying to cram for comparative gov't by attempting to finish the book during the break I got between US Gov and Comparative, and I barely finished Cliffs Bio the night before--and ended up falling asleep during the test), but I got 5s anyway so all's well that ends well. I think the thing that saved me on gov't was ********ting ability, basically, and for bio the thing that saved my ass was a good memory for stuff I'd read years and years earlier.
