Self studying for AP U.S. Government

I was wondering what material anyone has used to self study for AP U.S. government and politics. I have the following: Barron’s AP U.S. Government flash cards, 5 steps to a 5, and crash course book. I would be entirely self studying because I am taking a class. But it is online and i don’t feel that it is preparing well enough for the exam. Also how far in advanced did you being self studying.

aye! me too! was wondering the same thing!

AP US Gov is a fairly straightforward and intuitive course, especially since 2016 has been a good year for AP US Gov students as we are familiar with the election process. Check out Adam Norris on YouTube and at his website at apgovreview.com who covers all the material very well. Go to the website and sign up for his “Essential Ideas Course” for simple handouts and multiple choice questions that are not very reflective of the AP exam but are actually excellent resources for memorizing and understanding the material.
