<p>I have seen people hoping to use this as an EC...while I admit that this is a serious time committment, is this really an EC? Anybody who has any idea how a college would view this on the application, please respond!</p>
<p>i wouldn't include it as an EC... it's a really fine line there, but my reason is that it's so much like regular school. Sure you have to organize your materials and be a self-starter (which all schools love to see), but it doesn't really show any passion towards a particular activity or demonstrate any leadership skills or any other skills for that matter (except for study skills). It's too much of a pure academic pursuit.</p>
<p>But even if you don't put it under EC, you'll still get it on your grade report and prolly a scholar award. It's not necessary to list it as an EC-- it'll be recognized either way.</p>
