Self studying for APUSH test suggestions?

hi, I would like the self study for the apush test. I’m currently taking regular ush. Is it worth the try or should i forget about it? I’ve always been interested in us history since 5th grade. The only book i have right now is AMSCO, do i need to buy any textbooks(they seem kind of pricey). The two im looking at are The American Pageant and another one by alan brinkley. If you have any suggestions i would greatly appreciate them thanks.

Reading a college history textbook is an experience you will remember fondly when you venture into many of these hard long books in college.

BUT… for the purpose of passing the AP exam it is completely unnecessary.

Hippocampus/org ← watch through all of the videos / = .

Crash course AP us history <— for a month before the exam

Insert prep book of your choice here <— supplemental reading.

YOUR BIGGEST Weapons <— Know how to answer EVERY free response from 2000. if you can… I PROMISE you will be able to answer to the one next year.

Talk to your counselor about signing up for the exam now, your state/district might have a virtual school.

Actually, Direct Hits is the way to go before the exam. It covers what is mostly tested on the exam based on past exams, and gives good tips for writing the essay.
