self studying for lit and gov?

Hey guys,
Next year I'm lined up to take four APs: French, Calc BC, Physics B, and Psychology
It may sound like a lot but I'm planning to stay the course. Many of my friends moan about why I'm not taking AP Gov or AP Lit, and although they are the easiest APs, I'd rather not take 6 AP classes. I was just wondering if self-studying for the Lit and Gov AP tests would be effective in preparing me for the test, and also if they're difficult at all.. Any suggestions for prep books would also be much appreciated. Thanks!

I’m also self-studying those (and more) APs. But only because my high school doesn’t offer any AP courses.
Um, back to your question, self-studying won’t be too difficult if you manage your time well and if you’re self-motivted. As for prep books, you can try the 5 steps to a 5 or Barron’s or Princeton Review’s or Cliffs although they won’t be enough alone. As a supplement I would suggest you check out the following website: http://hoagiesgifted.com/online_hs.htm\

Good luck :)
