Self-Studying Languages

Hey, I plan to self-study Spanish and I was wondering if anyone had any advice as for what to use, if anyone else has done this? Thanks.

make a friend who speaks spanish and get them to help you with your pronunciation. once you've got the basics of the sentence, read children's books in spanish. do daily vocab words... words that you like or use often. you know you've got it when you can make it through the first harry potter book in spanish.

Listen songs in spanish with translated and original versions of lyrics.

Well, it really depends on what kind of person you are. If you were more well-rounded in memorizing grammar and vocabulary then you should get a small textbook and memorize.
