Self Studying Macro/Micro Economics

Has anyone here self-studied Macro/Micro Economics? I am probably going to study them this fall since I want to apply as an economics major...Any advice? From what I have been finding Princeton Review and Barrons seem to be the best books? When did you start studying for the exams? How long per night did you study? What did you get on the test?

Haha sorry for all the questions but I am nervous about self studying!

Well, considering you want to major in Economics, I would probably go full on and get a textbook for such a class and study it for about an hour a day until test day; however, majoring in Economics, you would not won't to skip the introductory classes you over qualify for via AP scores as these introductory college Econ courses are going to be essential for you to obtain your major, one would imagine. Instead of self-study, prep book style of AP Self-Study, if I were you, I would learn Econ just for the sake of learning; and if you think you know it well enough, take the exam.

My two cents,
