I hope you’re not going to take all of those AP exams in one year. If so, good luck with that.

Anyway, from experience, here’s what I (and I’m sure many others here as well) would recommend:

Comparative Government: [AP Comparative Government and Politics: A Study Guide](<a href=“http://www.amazon.com/AP-Comparative-Government-Politics-Study/dp/0974348139/]AP ”>http://www.amazon.com/AP-Comparative-Government-Politics-Study/dp/0974348139/ )

I would also suggest checking out [AP Central](<a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board ”>AP Comparative Government and Politics Course – AP Central | College Board ) for Comparative Government. There are briefing papers (which are basically short textbook chapters for a few countries produced by the College Board–you can’t go wrong with that) and articles on that page that were very helpful.

While a textbook probably isn’t necessary if you have the study guide mentioned above, it nonetheless is helpful to at least read, so you have additional grounding. The following is good: [Introduction to Comparative Politics: Mark Kesselman](<a href=“http://www.amazon.com/Introduction-Comparative-Politics-Mark-Kesselman/dp/0618214461]Introduction ”>http://www.amazon.com/Introduction-Comparative-Politics-Mark-Kesselman/dp/0618214461 ). Seeing how a used copy is as low as a penny, the textbook could actually be cheaper than the study guide ;)

Psychology: [Barron’s AP Psychology](<a href=“http://www.amazon.com/Barrons-AP-Psychology-Robert-McEntarffer/dp/0764136658]Barron’s ”>http://www.amazon.com/Barrons-AP-Psychology-Robert-McEntarffer/dp/0764136658 )

If you learn everything in the Barrons book, you will receive a five. End of story.

And then, based on the general recommendations of the other members of this forum:

Macro/Micro: [Princeton Review](<a href=“http://www.amazon.com/Cracking-Economics-Macro-College-Preparation/dp/0375428879]Princeton ”>http://www.amazon.com/Cracking-Economics-Macro-College-Preparation/dp/0375428879 )
Environmental Science: [The Smartypants’ Guide](<a href=“http://www.amazon.com/Smartypants-Guide-Environmental-Science-Exam/dp/1411644778]The ”>http://www.amazon.com/Smartypants-Guide-Environmental-Science-Exam/dp/1411644778 ) + [Barron’s AP Environmental Science](<a href=“http://www.amazon.com/Barrons-Environmental-Science-Gary-Thorpe/dp/0764136437/]Barron’s ”>http://www.amazon.com/Barrons-Environmental-Science-Gary-Thorpe/dp/0764136437/ )

Look through the consolidated book suggestion thread as well for more opinions on what you may want to buy.

All of them are very easy to self study. The Economics test, world history tests are all jokes. The rest are just a tad more difficult.

The textbook I used for my AP World History is The Earth and Its Peoples: A Global History, 4/e, AP edition.

European History and Microeconomics are what I plan to self-study. The textbooks
