Self-Studying Statistics

So I am planning on doing this as a senior in solely to get out of it in college. I was wondering how hard it was to study for, and how in depth it got. My dad used to teach it at at university, and still knows it, so I will not be short of guidance or assistance.

It's not hard at all. I only used a prep book to study (Barrons); and only for less than 2 months...i got a 5.

It isn't very hard; be aware, though, that the course has changed a lot in the past ten years or so, and before it was a lot more mechanical math but now it is almost all on calculators. My mom took the class in 2000 and it was completely different than the one I took this year...

actually, the multiple choice part required almost no calculator use this year. I can only recall using it once or twice. Calculators were a bit more helpful for the FR section though.

The multiple choice is really easy; they give you way too much time to do only 40 questions...

The test isn't that difficult. I think it's relatively easy to get a 5...

I took the class, never studied and got a five. I did have a great teacher, but stats is really not that complicated. I think you only have to get about 60 some percent right to get a five.
