Self Studying Stats.

Is it possible/smart to self-study AP Stats? I could take the class my senior year, but I kind of want to self-study an AP exam, and I was thinking about stats. I have a friend who has offered to help (took stats this year and got a 5), but I'm still not sure whether I should. I don't think I'm the best in math, but I'm not bad at all. Fwiw, I got a 36 on the math portion of the ACT, but a 70 on the math portion of the PSAT.

It’s quite possible; stats is probably the easiest of the math AP’s. Just make sure you know how to use your graphing calculator.

So, what’s the beat prep book for AP stats? Can you give me some advices, thanks!

I barely prepared for AP stats (other than, taking the course), and got a 5. The stats test is quite simple, as long as you know which method/test to use.

Basically, any stats preparation book will do. Most importantly, you should know how to use your calculator, since nearly half of the problems involve it in one way or another.
