Hello.
I asked my counselor about taking the AP exam that I didn't take at my school..
and she said dont do it because colleges think it is weird?....
Is that true?.. I'm so confused..
So if I cant take the exams at my school, I still can take them at other schools right?..

Your counselor must be one of those people that think they know everything about college admissions. Just work around her. Yes, you can take them at other schools. Counselors/advisors like that make me so mad!

Wow, that’s the total opposite of how it is at my school. In Florida, the state pays for the AP exams, and my school encourages you to take whatever exams you want. For example, students who take an AP course online through FLVS or self-study simply sign up for the AP test like any other student who takes the course(s) in school.

^Your counselor is totally wrong. You can and should take any AP exam you wish.
