So, the question in the title may seem like an odd question to a lot of you who regularly self-study for ap exams each year. The thing is, in my school, nobody self-studies for AP exams...actually, I've never even heard of someone doing that until I found this site :] It's probably due to the fact that most AP classes are offered at our school. After seeing how many people on here do it, I've started thinking of self-studying for human geography or environmental next year [normally I'd just take the class, but I don't have room for them]. Is that really worth it? I've heard that human geo was a really pointless exam to self-study for, so...I'm not really sure.

No one in most people's schools has ever heard of self-studying. The people in my school don't even know what APs are.

You should most of the time only self study because you're interested in the subject.

You may not need to self study if you have basic knowledge in the subject.

well people seem to be taking psych by self studying...and some of my friends have mentioned it too.

whats the point? If psych wont be my major or minor, does it exempt me from an elective (assuming the 4 or 5)?

not to mention it is 85 dollars.
