Self-Studying

Hey everyone, I was just wondering what the best way to study for AP Bio would be. I took honors bio in freshman year (I had a tough teacher so getting A's both semesters was a miracle on my part) and I signed up for AP Bio for sophomore year but the class didn't make because not a lot of people signed up for it (the ap bio teacher is really bad at my school and the average score in her class is like a 2 o_o). So I tried to self-study for the exam but kinda failed at it so I decided to study another year rather than risk getting a bad score. But I heard that they're changing the test and curriculum around for that exam this coming year. The bio teacher at my school told me that it'll be more general stuff and applied knowledge rather than itty-bitty pieces of info like it was before so she said it should be easier but I'm not too sure. I don't have room to fit ap bio into my schedule for my junior year (if it even made this year) but does anyone have tips for self-studying for me? I'm kinda busy this summer since I'm taking an AoPS class for AMC12 and I'm trying to teach myself number theory. Also the ap bio knowledge would be useful for science bowl I suppose (there's not a lot of biology folks on my team).

I know five steps to a five was really helpful for my AP exam. And if you search Bozemanbiology on YouTube all of his videos are awesome. Watch all of them, they deliver the core of information you need to know for the AP Bio exam. And the change is true and Bozemanbiology actually has some video labs you might find useful. All in all biology isn’t that difficult, especially after taking honors bio freshman year (that’s what I did). I’m sure if you are dedicated enough you can do it.

The best way, like the poster above me said, would be to buy a review book and use that to study. I’d recommend either Barron’s or Princeton Review
