Self-Studying

I am a sophomore and I really enjoy learning about history. My school doesn’t offer a lot of AP courses, so I was planning on self-studying. I am currently self-studying AP Human Geography and taking AP US History at my school. I am currently in the process of selecting APs to self-study next year (I am planning on doing AP World and AP English Language at my school)… I was considering self-studying either AP European History, AP Comparative Government, or AP Art History next year. Which one do you think is the easiest to self-study? When should I begin self-studying them? I know these ones are harder…so any advice? Thanks

I think its AP Euro. I know Gov is pretty hard and i feel like Art is always hard.

I think Gov probably bc Euro is a lot of writing, and that can be hard to self-study. Definitely wouldn’t do AH bc you need to memorize lots of artworks.

Thanks for the advice… I will keep that in mind when I decide

Of the 3, AP Comp Gov is by far the easiest, IMO. AP Art History is also pretty easy if you’re interested in art; otherwise, probably not as easy. FYI, the AP Art History class was resigned this year so that only 250 works are tested vs. ~500 when I took it, so there might be less memorization involved.

AP euro was the hardest AP class I took, so I definitely don’t recommend that. Didn’t take the others so I can’t give recommendations but hopefully this helps!

I’ve decided to go with AP Comp Gov for my junior year and AP Art History for my senior. Thanks for all the help!
