My school doesn’t offer either of these classes so I have to self-teach, but I don’t want to pay hundreds of dollars for a program. Do you guys know any good, free MOOCs that you’ve used in the past?
Check if there are any online classes. FLVS offers AP Calculus BC which is free to all Florida students, but unfortunately you would have to pay if you are not a Florida student. Find out if there is an equivalent for your state or district. I’m left to assume that you had already taken AP Calculus AB and AP Physics 1 so you have some knowledge of the subjects. If this is the case, then I would actually recommend you for AP Physics C (instead of Physics 2) which is actually a much better AP alternative for STEM majors that utilizes Calculus. Again, I don’t know any of your credentials, but I would look into AP Physics C especially if you want to major in a STEM field.
Yeah, I don’t think they have anything like that where I live. I’m taking AP Calc AB during my senior year, but I want to do BC on the side as well. I have no taken physics, maybe some in 8th grade, but that’s pretty much it. The physics course I’m suppose to take has a trash teacher, and I don’t want to go into the STEM field with such a poor foundation of physics. BTW, I meant to type in AP Physics 1 and not 2, sorry.
