Selling college books

For those of you who buy from online places like half.com how do you get rid of your books after the semester? Do you just sell it on half.com again?

I've put 2 of my books for sale, but considering all the other really low prices I saw, I don't know if my are going to get bought anytime soon. I'd go lower, but I think the seller has to pay for the shipping and handling (?)... Any suggestions would be great.

Hmmm... right now I'm selling all my books for half of what I paid. And that hurts. But I presume I'd get even less at the college bookstore. I'd say wait until classes start up again and if no luck, either lower your price or sell them off at the bookstore.

We've bought used textbooks for advanced HS classes from classbook.com, and they do seem to give some decent offers to buy used textbooks, you might check them out.

ebay, amazon, or sell to students you know who taking the same classes

Don't sell your books. My sister has had many instances when she either had to refer to them for another class, or re-use them. And anyways, they don't give you that much money.

I sell mine back to half.com, ebay, amazon, etc. The best was selling my psychology and astronomy books to people in my dorm; thats definitely the way to go if you want.

I have friends who keep their books, friends who don't (like me), it's up to you if you want to. I figure i'll take the 60 bucks i got for my psych and astronomy books (each!) and spend time online looking up answers if i need to refer to them for another class. The books for my major I kept though, just in case, but if it's a book for a gen_ed or distro or some class that you will never ever take anything in that field again (astronomy for me) i see no point in keeping the book.

They change the books every semester anyways, so rather than getting three bucks or so for a book you paid $50+ for I would just keep them.
