Semester 1 Senior Grades

<p>Is there a way to include them in your college applications? I am applying to Stanford and want to apply early but my cumulative GPA and class rank could use a boost. My semester ends Dec. 22 and applications for regular decision are not due until Jan. 1, yet I do not know how my counselor would access my application right in between to fill out my new calculated stats, that is to say that grades are official by then. Is there a place on the common app to put your first semester senior grades based on the honor system for the college to check later? Thanks</p>

<p>I think colleges especially stanford require first quarter grades in their calculations. So, I’m pretty sure your first quarter grades will be sent by your high school counselor, if not sent already.</p>

Nope. According to the Stanford Application Instructions (PDF) the only school reports required are the school report and the mid-year report, which is after the first semester or trimester, not quarter:</p>

5. Ask your school counselor to submit the School Report (preferably online) by the appropriate deadline. The Midyear Report is also required after the first semester or trimester of your senior year.
