On another thread about internships, a poster linked to Grinell's Washington Program. I know there are other colleges that offer internships/ classes for credit in Washington, D.C. Sometimes these programs can be competitive to get into. Any recent experiences with particularly good or bad Blank in Washington semesters?

A young friend of mine just did one through Penn and had a great experience. There was a recent thread on the Parents Forum. Do a search.

Thanks, MOWC, saw the thread in the Parent’s Forum. One of the schools discussed was Smith (not an option).
Also, some one pointed out a difference in programs. It seems that there is the Washington Center organization that has member schools participating, where all the students take classes through American U. And then there are schools that have their own program, bringing their own professors to teach in D.C.

Can someone weigh in on this? What school has a particularly good indepedent (their own) program?
