<p>I'm debating back and forth as to which system would better suit me. Which one do you people prefer and why? I want to graduate in 2008 or 2009 but I only have 45 credits currently. Which route should I take?</p>

<p>Semester system, which is a load of crap. Such a waste of time, but I thought it was just me and that maybe there were some hidden advantages to this system that I did not know about. Well I was right, it is a load of crap. My sister and I started college around the same time with the same number of hours and because her school was on the quarter system, she ended up not only completing more classes but obviously earning the hours at a much faster rate. By the way how long is the quarter system duration for one course? 3wks, 4wks?</p>

<p>I enjoy the quarter system personally. It allows me to start fresh every quarter...shorter number of weeks in the quarter...longer break in summer.</p>
<p>I went to a semester system before for a couple of semesters..i didn't like it too much because there was a lot of cramming to do for finals...just too much information at once.</p>

<p>mera quarter system bhara hafteteh. aur mujhko quarter systemhi pasand hain kyunki...tumko GPA raise karnekailiye zyada chances hain. hope that made sense.</p>
<p>I like quarter because in some instances it allows you to cover more topics in a single academic year than you would be able to otherwise. It also gives me less of a chance of burning out and becoming bored of a subject before finals (which would happen to me in high school).</p>
<p>Another thing that might interest you is that semester system schools typically begin in August and end in May, and quarter system schools typically begin in September and end in June.</p>
