I'm currently attending a school that runs on a semester-semester basis but I was looking into transferring to a school that runs on a quarterly basis. My question is how does that work with credits? The average number of credits I earn now in one semester is around 16 but I only take finals twice a year. How many credits would I be earning in a quarter? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I believe how they convert semester to quarter credits (or vice versa) depends on the school. My D is at a school that's on sem and has a friend who transferred from a school on the qt system, they gave her the same number of sem as qt units, such a deal!

Oh wow! So I would still be getting around the same number of credits per quarter that I do per semester??! That's great!

Wait a minute:

I just gave you an EXAMPLE of ONE school, you need to contact the school you are going to and ask them about their conversion policy.
