Semi-legacy question #2

Assume a highly selective school. The applicant's family has significant alums in the family (three grandparents, two aunts, one cousin) but parents did not attend said university.

How helpful is it to the applicant's admission's chances at that school?

If the family donated gobs of money to the school, and by gobs I mean building-named-after-you kind of thing, then it will help. Otherwise, not really.
