Do transfers with less than 24 credits absolutely have to take seminar? Can you take sbu 101 after your second semester? And is there any other seminar besides sbu 101--some schools had different ones for every major?

I answered this in the other post, but I’ll answer it here too. No, it’s not mandatory for transfers. Once you’re past your first semester, I don’t know how much SBU 101 helps a transfer who’s already been on campus for a semester; it’s really an extension of the orientation program.

Chris, the information I gathered form emails is that with less than 24 credits, transfers are required to take 101, my question is–could I take in my second semester there, which is not that relevant anyway.

I’m checking on it. I’m 99% sure that it’s only recommended, not required, for transfer students, regardless of the number of credits. I’ll post when I find out.
