Senate Page Program

Hi everyone!
I had a few questions about the 2013 Summer Senate Page Program:
First of all, I am an incoming sophomore
EC's: Math Honors Society, Student Council (Technical Director on Executive Board), Assistant Editor for my school newspaper, I want to join DECA, Spanish Club, and Spanish Honors Society this year also.
What else do they exactly look at?

Thanks!

I was just selected by Sen. Richard Shelby- AL and they said one of the main reasons they chose me was test scores. Specifically they were talking about the PLAN (you’ll take it this year). It goes unsaid that grades are important. Also, be gracious to the people you come in contact with and be on top of things ( this includes being timely with your application) by preparing your application and essay in advance.

Hi, I was a page this past spring! All I can really tell you is that the process differs greatly from senator to senator. I think I was chosen because of my interview and my activities.

Can you do it if your gonna be a rising junior during the summer. Another question I have is does it cost any money to do?

^No. In fact, you get paid.

Wow that’s awesome haha, so would I be able to apply for the summer session if I’m a rising junior

Yep. As long as you’re 16 or 17. Incoming juniors, current juniors, outgoing juniors.

When do you have to apply by?
